Winter Sale Holiday 2026 — Merchant Participation Reminder

As we wrap up a busy holiday season and look ahead to the new year, we’re excited to announce the return of our Winter Sale Holiday — Belleville Market’s bi-annual, store-wide promotional event designed to drive traffic, boost sales, and spotlight our incredible community of merchants.

This year’s Winter Sale Holiday will run from:

Friday, January 2 through Sunday, February 1.
  1. All promotions submitted for inclusion will be promoted as being active during this time period. 
  2. (Please note: Belleville Market will be closed on Thursday, January 1 for New Year’s Day.)

Merchant Participation

Participation in the Winter Sale Holiday is voluntary, but strongly encouraged. Storewide events create atmosphere and momentum, increase guest engagement, and help elevate visibility for all merchants. The more participation we have, the more cohesive and impactful the event becomes for our customers.

If you would like to:
  1. Be included in our marketing efforts (email, social media, in-store signage), and/or
  2. Have your sale or promotion programmed on our end

Programming Your Sale: What We Can & Can’t Do

To keep the event consistent and manageable within our POS, we can only program promotions that fit the following parameters:

✔️ We CAN program:

  1. A flat discount on all of your products (e.g., 15% off entire booth)
  2. A flat discount on a specific category of your products (e.g., 20% off apparel, 10% off candles)
These types of promotions allow us to apply clear rules in Shopify POS that trigger automatically at checkout.

❌ We CANNOT program:

  1. Discounts on individual, select items
  2. Mix-and-match or custom exclusions
  3. Complex tiered or BOGO-style promotions
If your promotion falls into these categories, you are still welcome to run it — you’ll simply need to set it up within your own booth using price adjustments and signage. These promotions can still be included in marketing; they just cannot be automated by our POS.
