On the occasion that an item is damaged by a customer, Belleville Market's policy is as follows:
Generally, Belleville Market will not charge a customer for an item that has been damaged by accident. However, Belleville Market will occasionally, and at its discretion, charge the customer if the item is of significant value and/or if Belleville Market feels the customer was negligent.
Belleville Market will request that the Merchant take into consideration the circumstances and accept a fair discount on the damaged item.
While unfortunate, accidents do happen, and it is a legitimate deductible business loss.
