Entering A New Item Into ConsignCloud

Now you’re ready to add a new item in your ConsignCloud account. For the sake of our example, we’re using a 48” Round Dining Table. 

Click + Item in the top menu bar. 



You’ll then be taken to the Add New Item screen. This will be where you add all the information for your new item. 


Category

We’ve created a predetermined list of categories applicable to Belleville Market. Please select the category that best represents your new item.



Please note: the category you select MAY pop-up in the Description field. Please delete this as it does not need to be there. We’re working to get this corrected.

Description

For the description field, you’ll only need to enter what the item is. 
  1. DO NOT include the Color or Size under the Description as this will be entered in their own fields. 
Examples of a description that may fit your brand would be:

  1. Salted Caramel Soy Candle
  2. Dolly Parton Vinyl Record, 9 to 5, Used/Good Condition
  3. Vintage Ladies Levis Jeans
  4. Antique French Style Mirror



Brand

We’re not currently using this field. 

Color

In the Color field, you’ll enter the main color of the item, if applicable. Please attempt to select your color from the dropdown first. If the color doesn’t already exist, you may add it. 

Color Pro Tips: 
  1. If your item as multiple colors, simply add/select Multi-Color
  2. If the color of your item is not important (IE: Candle or a Vinyl Record, for example), it is okay to keep this field blank. 
  3. The color will automatically appear in your product's Title when it prints on your label. 



Size

In the Size field, you’ll enter the size of your item, if applicable. Please attempt to select your size from the dropdown first. If the size doesn’t already exist, you may add it.

Size Pro Tips:
  1. If the size of your item is not important (IE: Vinyl Record, for example), it is okay to keep this field blank. 
  2. Sizes may include: Large, 32” Waist, 12 oz, etc, etc.
  3. The Size will automatically appear in your products Title when it prints on your label.



Weight

If you’re partnering with us to offer your items on our website, entering your item’s weight is mandatory. Otherwise, you may keep this blank. 

  1. When entering your item’s weight, please ensure you’re selecting the appropriate weight option. IE: Pounds, Grams, Ounces, etc. 


Details

Details are optional, however we definitely recommend you entering special details about your item as this will help our Guest Service Associates better sell your items. 

If you’re selling your items on the Belleville Market website, the description will be what appears on the website. 
Examples of Details: 
  • How long a candle’s burn time is. 
  • A food item’s ingredients. 
  • Where a vintage item was sourced/picked. 
  • How to use a personal care item. 
  • Special information that the customer may want to know about your item. 


  • Images

    We highly recommend adding at least one photo of your item to your listing. This will help our Guest Services Associates match the listing with the item in case there’s ever a question. Plus, if your tag ever falls off or can’t be located, this will allow us to match your item in the system with the item in the store. 

    Website Merchants: Your main photo should be square and at least 800px x 800px. 


    Quantity

    Having correct quantities is now MANDATORY for all items. The quantity stated in your listing should match the number of items located in your space. This helps us know what we have in-stock and this will help you know what you have available to sell. 

    Tag Price

    The Tag Price is the retail price of your item. This is the price the customer will see and what you expect the customer to pay. 
    Pro Tip: The system will attempt to suggest a Tag Price for you using AI. You may select a recommended price or type in your own price. 


    SKU

    The SKU is Auto Generated by default. There is no need to type in anything. The SKU will also become the UPC/Barcode number on your pice tag. 

    If your item you’re selling is new and already has a barcode, all you need to do is enter the barcode number into the SKU field. This way you don’t have to print a barcode for your item. (Remember, if you’re using the pre-printed barcode, you must advertise the price either on your item or simply with a sign in your space). 

    Tax Exempt

    By default, the Tax Exempt option will be turned off so that PA Sales Tax can be applied to your item.

    If you are selling APPAREL or FOOD, please turn the Tax Exempt toggle to the ON position. 

    Save Item

    Once you are satisfied and all of the information has been entered correctly and to your liking, you’re ready to save the item. You may do so by simply clicking the Save button. 



    Once save this item’s title will be: {{Description}}, {{Size}}, {{Color}}
    For the sake of our example: Dining Table, 48" Round, Walnut
    Upon saving, a blank Add New Item screen will appear so you can add your next new item. If you’d like to add another new item, simply repeat the steps. 

    Otherwise, click Menu. You’ll have the option to go to your Dashboard or a listing of all of your Inventory.
