Merchants retain ownership of their merchandise and personal property at all times.

Because Belleville Market does not own merchant inventory, we do not provide insurance coverage for:
  1. Merchandise and inventory
  2. Fixtures and displays
  3. Business equipment
  4. Personal property
  5. Loss resulting from theft, damage, fire, water, or other casualty events
Merchants are encouraged to consult with their insurance provider regarding coverage that may be appropriate for their business.

Liability Coverage

Belleville Market reserves the right to require proof of insurance in the future or for specific merchant activities, events, demonstrations, pop-ups, or product categories.

Limitation of Liability

While Belleville Market maintains security systems, operational procedures, and risk management practices designed to protect the store and its occupants, Belleville Market is not responsible for loss or damage to merchant-owned property.

Merchants assume responsibility for the inventory, fixtures, and property they choose to place within the Market.
