Our Vision For Belleville Market

Our Vision For Belleville Market

Inspired by the Paris neighborhood of the same name, we envision Belleville Market to be a shopping experience modeled after a European/French street market, with a nod to the grand department stores of yesteryear. Belleville is home to a juried collection of independently-owned, creative-based small businesses who are classified as makers, curators and collectors.

Belleville Market is more than a place to shop, but also a place where friends and family can gather together. Besides an amazing shopping experience, our guests enjoy events, regularly-scheduled food tastings, pop-up merchants, live music on the Terrace, and complimentary sips while they shop.

Belleville Market aims to be a one-stop-shop for home decor, furnishings, gifts, apparel, vintage goods and antiques, unique finds, and more.

Why Belleville?

Belleville is a colorful and friendly working-class district shaped by migrants, artists, and musicians. Belleville is one of the most interesting quarters of Paris and also one of the (few) non-touristic areas of the city. A perfect place if you are searching for Parisian experiences off the beaten track.

Belleville was initially an independent commune that was annexed to Paris in 1860. It has a lot in common with Montmartre – both quarters are built along and on a hill (the two highest in Paris) and have a strong artistic and working-class background.

We aim to bring that same vibrancy, diversity, and uniqueness to our retail environment by assembling a team of eclectic merchants and creating a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for our guests.
