Product Sourcing Guidelines

Product Sourcing Guidelines

Belleville Market aims to go beyond the typical retail experience by offering our discerning customers a unique, upscale shopping experience that they cannot easily find elsewhere. For this reason, we strongly discourage the sourcing of non-vintage/non-antique inventory items purchased from other retailers to be resold here at Belleville Market.

Retailers such as, but not limited to, Aldi, Target, HomeGoods/Marshall's, Temu, Amazon, Walmart, The Dollar Tree, etc. are NOT acceptable sources for the sourcing of products. Anyone can shop at those locations, and it's a bad look for us (and you) if customers come in and see the very same items available at a big box store or online behemoth for half the price as compared to here.

If you need assistance sourcing wholesale merchants, we are happy to make recommendations to you. Through our years of experience in both the wholesale and retail sectors, we've been able to build relationships and a thorough knowledge of great wholesale companies with quality product assortments. We're confident we'd be able refer you to some that would best suit your brand.

Additionally,  if a merchant who primarily deals in vintage/antique items brings new merchandise into their booth, that merchandise should be clearly labeled as NEW or as a REPRODUCTION so as to avoid potentially misleading our customers.

We truly appreciate each of your talents and encourage you to focus on what you do best. Filling up your booth with cheaply-sourced items can distract from what makes your brand special. It might bring you a quick buck, but the long term results just aren't worth it.

Today's customers are looking for the unique and the carefully-curated, and that's what we want to offer them here at Belleville Market.
