Barcode Labels, Tagging & Inventory Requirements

All inventory items within a Merchant’s booth/selling area are required to have a printed ConsignCloud label* that includes, at minimum, the barcode and the everyday retail price. In part, this is for the Merchant’s protection to help avoid “tag switching”. It’s important that you never change the price without changing the entire tag and updating your item in ConsignCloud.

Barcode printing, labels, and hang tags are the sole responsibility of the Merchant. Each Merchant will be assigned a ConsignCloud Merchant Account to manage their inventories and pricing. 

Labels should be securely fixed to merchandise so that they do not fall off easily. When restocking your space, all merchandise should be properly tagged prior to being placed in your unit.

*Items that have preprinted manufacturer's bar code labels do not need to be relabeled with ConsignCloud labels. These barcodes may be programmed into ConsignCloud. Please note that these items will still need to be priced. We recommend using a price tag label gun for these items.
