Merchant Security Deposit Return Policy
To ensure a smooth process when a merchant leaves or changes spaces within Belleville Market, please review the following guidelines regarding the return of security deposits:
1. Upon Leaving the Market
- If a merchant's participation in the Market ends and leaves Belleville Market entirely, the security deposit will be returned within 30 days from the final day of their license agreement.
- The returned deposit may be adjusted for any outstanding balances, damages, or cleaning fees as outlined in the license agreement.
- Refunds will be issued via check and mailed to the address on file.
2. Moving to a New Space within the Market
- Merchants relocating to a different selling space within Belleville Market must pay a new, separate security deposit for the new space.
- The deposit from the previous space will be returned as a credit within 30 days of vacating the original space.
- This credit will be applied toward future payments due under the new license agreement.
All security deposits are subject to review and possible deductions in accordance with the terms of the license agreement.
