Loss Prevention

Loss Prevention

Keeping your items safe is something we take very seriously at Belleville Market. While we’re happy to say that shoplifting is not a widespread issue, like all retail environments, occasional theft or product loss can occur.

We have a network of security cameras throughout the store and are continuously working to improve our coverage. Additional cameras are regularly added based on need and feedback.

If you believe an item from your space is missing—whether potentially stolen or misplaced—we ask that you do the following:
  1. Notify a member of Belleville Management. They may be able to assist with a quick search, check common misplacement areas, or review store activity.
  2. Submit a Merchant Loss Report Form. This form helps us document missing items, investigate patterns, and review camera footage when possible. Click here to submit a Loss Report
Please Note:
  1. Belleville Market is not responsible for any loss that occurs due to theft, damage, or other causes. We do not provide insurance for vendor inventory or personal property.
  2. We encourage you to photograph your booth regularly.
  3. All merchants are required to keep their inventories accurate and up to date at all times. The quantity listed in your ConsignCloud account should always match the quantity available in your selling space. Discrepancies make it more difficult to identify actual losses and investigate missing items.
  4. The most effective deterrents to theft include a well-merchandised and tidy selling space.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and welcoming space for everyone. If you have any concerns about your booth’s visibility or would like to discuss potential camera coverage near your area, please reach out to our team.
