Showcase Merchant Operations Framework

Showcase Merchant Operations Framework

Overview

Showcase Merchants occupy a premium display area curated for focused storytelling, seasonal highlights, or themed collections. These spaces offer high visibility but smaller footprints than Anchor spaces.

1. Space Management & Merchandising

  1. You are responsible for merchandising, restocking, and maintaining your Showcase display regularly.
  2. Displays must remain full, organized, and visually compelling.
  3. Fixtures are typically provided by Belleville Market; modifications require approval.

2. Inventory & Stock Levels

  1. You bring in and manage all inventory for your Showcase display.
  2. Inventory accuracy in ConsignCloud is required at all times.
  3. Merchants should plan for frequent replenishment, as Showcase displays rely on consistent stock to maintain visibility and impact.

3. Branding & Display Enhancements

  1. Minimal branding is allowed—typically small signage or brand identifiers integrated into the display.
  2. Themes may be set seasonally by Belleville Market; your participation is required.

4. Sales, Pricing & Promotions

  1. You set pricing for your products.
  2. Participation in Belleville Market promotions may be required depending on the season or placement.
  3. Independent discounting or promotions must be approved in advance.

5. Support & Oversight

  1. Merchant Support will not merchandise for you but may adjust small items to maintain store standards.
  2. Support may step in if:
    1. displays are empty or understocked
    2. visual presentation standards are not met
    3. safety or guest flow concerns arise

6. Term, License Fee & Commission Structure

  1. Showcase placements run shorter-term:
    1. Month-to-month or 3-month terms, depending on category or season.
  2. Renewal is based on performance, category needs, and store planning.
  3. Showcase Merchants pay a short-term license fee, typically month-to-month or 3-month cycles.
  4. All sales are processed through the Belleville POS and subject to the standard commission rate.
  5. The license fee provides premium visibility and priority placement in high-traffic zones.
