There is no on-site designated parking for Belleville Market merchants or customers.
Merchants, their employees and anyone acting on their behalf should park on the street or in one of the nearby parking garages or surface lots conveniently located near the Market.
The parking lot located directly behind the Market is private and requires a building-issued parking permit. It is reserved for authorized Belleville Market employees and other tenants of the building. Belleville does not have the authority to grant merchants permission to park in this lot.
Merchants, their employees, contractors, representatives and agents are not permitted to park in the rear lot unless they have been issued a parking permit directly by the building.
The building actively monitors the lot, and Belleville is reprimanded for unauthorized vehicles connected to the Market. Continued violations place Belleville at risk of losing its own assigned parking privileges.
Effective immediately, unauthorized parking in the rear lot will result in an offset to the merchant’s account or upcoming payout:
- First offense: $50
- Each additional offense: $100 per occurrence
Vehicles parked without authorization may also be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.
Loading and Unloading
The rear lot may only be used for active loading or unloading that has been requested and scheduled with Belleville at least 24 hours in advance by contacting Merchant Support.
Approved load-ins and load-outs may not exceed 20 minutes. While using the lot:
- Keep the vehicle’s flashers on.
- Do not leave the vehicle unattended for more than 5 minutes.
- Remove the vehicle immediately once loading or unloading is complete.
Use of the rear loading area, loading dock or backroom is not permitted on Saturdays or Sundays.
Unscheduled access may be denied, even if the merchant has already arrived at the building. Merchants should also understand that use of the rear lot for loading or unloading does not eliminate the possibility of building enforcement or towing.
