Merchant Branding & Signage

Merchant Branding & Signage

Merchants that do not have an existing brand are encouraged to give their unit a memorable name with corresponding signage that represents the items featured there and which creates a brand that customers can remember, follow on social media, and share with friends.

All Merchants should display their approved trade name sign within their rented space.

Signs must be professionally lettered or of very good quality. In order to maintain a professional and welcoming appearance, merchants may not use handwritten signs of any kind or signs saying “you break, you buy” type messages. Ideally signage is framed and/or professionally presented.

Blade Sign

Some spaces within Belleville Market are equipped with hardware to display a blade sign just outside a merchant's space and within the right-of-way of customer traffic. Typically, these are hung on the upper portion of a column. It is highly recommenced that those merchants take advantage of this opportunity.
  1. Sign must meet the following specs:  24" x 16" double sided aluminum sign, color print mounted to both sides, laminated, two holes drilled for hanging
  2. Sign must be hung using the existing hardware provided by Belleville Market
  3. Final sign design and artwork must be approved by Belleville Market Management prior to installation
